  1. Can't say I'm surprised... TSA has made me angry several times and I fight them with strongly worded letters. Getting a check for reimbursement of my son's brand new unopened blender with quarter inch blades that they confiscated the day after Christmas last year! His 2" blade on his key chain was ok to board with tho!

    1. No, I don't see it as a hoax. It was printed in a Christian newsletter. How should I verify articles? Please tell me, because I certainly don't want to glorify a hoax; but on the other hand, I don't want to ignore a chance to point out the injustices that do in fact occur to the Deaf.

    1. The above article posted by the Orange Deafie Blogwire sited another blog, looks like an official TSA/gov blog: http://blog.tsa.gov/2012/07/alleged-mistreatment-of-passenger-who.html and both deny that the incident happened as first reported. However, I do not claim to know if this is a true official TSA blog site or not. It does have "gov" attached to the link, but I don't know if that makes it official or not. Either way, I hope that at least articles like the first one will encourage others to stick up for equal treatment no matter the situation. Injustice stinks period!

    1. Thank you for your research and posting. I am glad to hear that it did not happen...this time... but I know that things like this still go on; perhaps not always reported, sometimes reported as sensationalism, but either way... these kinds of acts should not occur! Public education is key!
